  • Decide how many units to trade and whether to buy or sell
  • Orders are time-sensitive - act quickly before the market moves!

Market Maker Quote

You'll see a market maker quote displayed as X at Y. Here's what they represent:

  • X (Bid): The price the market maker is willing to buy at
  • Y (Ask): The price the market maker is willing to sell at

Time to Trade

With a starting budget of 500:

  • Decide the number of units you wish to trade
  • Choose whether to buy (at the Ask price) or sell (at the Bid price)
  • Act quickly - offers are only valid for a limited time!

Valid Orders

Ensure your orders are valid:

  • You must be able to afford any long position based on your budget
  • Your balance must cover the maximum possible loss for any short position

Outcome

After making your decision:

  • All cards are revealed face up
  • The sum of card values determines the market price
  • Your profit or loss is calculated based on your position

Track Your Position

Stay aware of your position:

  • Report your return after each round
  • Higher difficulties require maintaining your own balance record

Strategy

The market maker provides random quotes. Your advantage comes from understanding expected values and using the face-up cards to make informed decisions. If you enable market events, be prepared for changes that can affect your strategy.
